Description

Dreaming big is in our DNA. It’s who we are as a company. It’s our culture. It’s our heritage. And more than ever, it’s our future. A future where we’re always looking forward. Always serving up new ways to meet life’s moments. A future where we keep dreaming bigger. We look for people with passion, talent, and curiosity, and provide them with the teammates, resources and opportunities to unleash their full potential. The power we create together – when we combine your strengths with ours – is unstoppable. Are you ready to join a team that dreams as big as you do?

The key purpose of this role is to plan, deliver and embed Supply technology projects (MES, SCADA, OT infrastructure, data and reporting) across breweries in the Africa Zone — owning scope, budget and timeline through rollout, driving adoption and value realisation post-implementation, and providing ongoing zone-level support for both newly delivered and previously deployed platforms.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Project Management and Implementation

  • Plan, manage and deliver Supply technology projects (MES, SCADA, OT infrastructure, data and reporting) across breweries in the Africa Zone, from scoping through to handover.
  • Develop project scopes, delivery plans and timelines, tracking milestones, dependencies and critical path across multiple concurrent site rollouts.
  • Prepare and motivate CAPEX and OPEX submissions, including business cases and value cases, and manage delivery against approved budgets and forecasts.
  • Manage System Integrators and vendors through the project lifecycle, ensuring standards adherence, scope control, quality of delivery and commercial compliance.
  • Execute deployment of Supply technology standards and platforms (OneTech, OneMES, Omnia, TrakSys, SODA, FLOW and the data backbone) at site and regional level in line with Zone roadmaps.
  • Support the Manufacturing Systems teams with software deployment, licensing administration and version control as part of project rollout.
  • Apply Manufacturing Systems change control practices and standards adherence throughout project delivery.
  • Support OT and Manufacturing IT governance requirements within projects, including cybersecurity posture, network segmentation and remediation actions.
  • Identify and manage project risks and issues, escalating to Zone Tech Supply leadership with proposed remediation.

Project Adoption and Value Realisation

  • Plan and organise structured user training at site level for affected personnel, including training schedules, materials and competency verification.
  • Coach and upskill site teams to build sustainable local capability and reduce dependency on Zone and vendor support.
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews and hypercare, identifying adoption gaps and driving corrective action plans with site leadership.
  • Define and track adoption metrics for deployed platforms (usage, data completeness, transaction compliance, KPI coverage) at each site post go-live.
  • Own the post-project value realisation cycle: baseline, measure and report benefits against the approved value case.
  • Report adoption and benefit performance to Zone Tech Supply and Supply leadership, with clear recommendations where value is not being realised.
  • Drive standardisation of ways-of-working across sites so that benefits are repeatable and scalable across the Zone.

Business Support

  • Provide zone support for brewery manufacturing systems (MES, SCADA, historians, reporting layers, data acquisition) to ensure
  • maximum equipment and system availability, both for newly delivered projects and previously rolled-out platforms.
  • Act as escalation point for site teams on Manufacturing Systems issues, coordinating resolution with contractors, vendors and global
  • product teams.
  • Deliver and maintain reporting, dashboard and application development solutions to brewery and Zone requirements, e.g. FLOW,
  • SSRS and Grafana.
  • Support data and analytics capability for Supply (performance, efficiency, quality and cost reporting), e.g. SQL, DB Maintenance,
  • APIs, OPC UA.

Key Attributes and Competencies:

  • Project management capability: scoping, scheduling, budget and risk control.
  • CAPEX / OPEX planning, business case and value case construction.
  • Sound Control and Automation knowledge (PLC, SCADA, plant data flows e.g. FLOW).
  • Working knowledge of the manufacturing / brewing process.
  • Microsoft Server, networking and database knowledge.
  • Manufacturing Systems (MES) and production execution systems knowledge.
  • Strong understanding of standardisation and its importance in delivering scalable, repeatable and sustainable solutions across sites.
  • Excellent problem-solving ability; analytical, lateral and conceptual thinker.
  • Proactive with high energy levels and a strong sense of ownership.
  • Clear, structured communication with contractors and regional teams.
  • Strong training, facilitation and coaching skills.
  • Data-driven approach to adoption tracking and benefits measurement.
  • Calm and methodical under pressure during operational incidents.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification, degree or diploma in Information Systems, Engineering or a related technical field.
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in a Systems environment and/or with Control and Automation systems.
  • Demonstrated experience planning and delivering technical projects, including budget and timeline ownership.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with MES, SCADA, OT infrastructure or industrial data platforms.
  • Experience working in a production or manufacturing environment; brewery experience advantageous.
  • Experience delivering user training and driving system adoption across multiple sites advantageous.
  • Familiarity with enterprise resource planning systems (e.g. SAP) advantageous.
  • Formal project management certification (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2) advantageous.
