Legal Cashier

JHE & Partners are working with a reputable and highly respected solicitors who are looking to recruit a Legal Cashier on a permanent basis. Our client continues to thrive and are looking to add to the team on the back of a successful and profitable year.

Reporting into the senior cashier, you will be an experienced legal cashier with strong finance skills. It is key you can multi-task and prioritise workloads and have previous experience working as part of a small team. You must have previous experience of cashiering in a law firm including bank reconciliation, internet banking systems, cash posting, billing, purchase ledger, and a sound, working knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules. 

Duties include:

• Daily Bank reconciliation
• Identifying, allocating and posting incoming electronic & manual receipts
• Banking of Office & Client Account receipts
• Checking & inputting CHAPS payments 
• Processing credit card payments
• Purchase Ledger
• Posting Client to Office Transfers and transferring monies on to the system
• Making payments from petty cash and reconciling
• Ensure all client transactions comply with Solicitors Accounts Rules
• Payment of staff expenses monthly

 

This is an exciting opportunity working for a highly respected law firm with an enviable reputation in the market. 

Salary on offer will pay in the region of £30,000 + very good benefits. Hours are 9.00 - 5.30 with one day working from home, once fully up to speed.
