What Will You Do?
As a member of the Golf Course Advisory Committee, you'll help advise Roosevelt City leadership on matters related to the municipal golf course.
Your responsibilities may include:

Recommending short-term and long-term goals for the golf course.

Helping maintain an annual calendar of golf course events and activities.

Reviewing and recommending improvements to golf course policies, rules, and operations.

Providing input on golf course facilities, equipment, and community needs.

Developing ideas to increase participation, volunteer involvement, and community engagement.

Exploring potential grants, donations, sponsorships, and partnerships to support the golf course.

Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and make the most of available resources.

Promoting an inclusive golf environment that welcomes players of all ages, abilities, and experience levels.

Assisting with other golf course advisory initiatives as requested by the City Council.
This is an advisory position. Committee members provide recommendations and guidance but do not supervise City employees, enforce golf course rules, or authorize City expenditures.
Meeting Schedule & Commitment

Meetings: Monthly, with at least one meeting per month during the golf season.

Location: Roosevelt City Offices or another designated City facility.

Term: Generally three years, with staggered appointments. Initial or vacancy appointments may have different term lengths as provided in the governing resolution.

Compensation: This is an unpaid volunteer opportunity.
Committee meetings are conducted in accordance with Utah's Open and Public Meetings Act.

Both Roosevelt City residents and nonresidents are encouraged to apply. At least three committee members must be Roosevelt City residents.
Committee members are appointed by the Mayor with approval from the City Council.
