Job Description Summary

This role is part of the IT Finance Systems team and provides senior solution leadership for Supply Chain Finance and Costing, including Intercompany, as GE HealthCare migrates from Oracle E-Business Suite R12 to Oracle Fusion Cloud. We are looking for a seasoned cost accounting and supply chain finance practitioner who has delivered multiple ERP implementations across industries and can bring leading practices that go beyond any single platform. The role shapes global design decisions, partners with Finance and Supply Chain leaders, and guides delivery of scalable solutions across product costing, inventory accounting, procure-to-pay and order-to-cash accounting, intercompany trade, transfer pricing, and related Record-to-Report processes.

GE HealthCare is a leading global medical technology and digital solutions innovator. Our purpose is to create a world where healthcare has no limits. Unlock your ambition, turn ideas into world-changing realities, and join an organization where every voice makes a difference, and every difference builds a healthier world.

Job Description

In this role, you will

  • Act as the design authority for Supply Chain Finance and Costing: define target-state business processes and the solution architecture for cost management, inventory accounting, and intercompany, including integration with Inventory, Manufacturing, Order Management, Procurement, Receivables, Payables, General Ledger, Subledger Accounting, and enterprise reporting.
  • Advise Finance, Controllership, Tax, Supply Chain, and business leaders on leading practices in cost accounting, supply chain finance, and intercompany, drawing on experience from other industries and challenging current ways of working where a process should change rather than be configured around.
  • Define harmonized future-state processes for standard costing, cost elements, overheads, cost accounting distributions, COGS, inventory valuation, manufacturing and purchase price variances, and period-end cost accounting.
  • Design and govern trade and non-trade intercompany scenarios, including intercompany sales and purchases, internal requisition and internal sales order flows, transfer pricing, markups, cost-plus arrangements, profit in inventory, eliminations, settlements, and reconciliations.
  • Evaluate solution options objectively, whether Oracle standard functionality, configuration, extensions, or alternative approaches, and own key design decisions, fit-gap assessments, process controls, and trade-offs.
  • Provide hands-on application expertise, including configuration review, setup validation, prototyping, and conference-room pilots, and assess how configuration choices affect accounting, controls, integrations, reporting, and operational processes.
  • Lead requirements decomposition and produce high-quality functional specifications, process flows, user stories, acceptance criteria, data mappings, and accounting requirements for reports, interfaces, conversions, and extensions; guide technical and integration teams on functional flows, accounting events, data, error handling, and reconciliation.
  • Drive testing strategy and execution across system integration, user acceptance, regression, conversion validation, cutover, and hypercare, and support R12-to-Fusion migration including legacy process assessment, data conversion, reconciliation, coexistence, and retirement of redundant customizations.
  • Own the solution beyond go-live, including stabilization, impact assessment of Oracle quarterly releases, enhancements, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide technical leadership and coaching to product team members, facilitate decisions across workstreams, proactively manage risks and dependencies, and communicate recommendations to senior stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in cost accounting, supply chain finance, or manufacturing finance, including ERP implementations.
  • Deep, hands-on expertise in cost accounting and inventory accounting that does not depend on any one system: standard, actual, and average costing, overhead absorption, variance analysis, inventory valuation, COGS, manufacturing and procurement accounting, and period-end cost close.
  • Led or held a principal design role in at least three end-to-end ERP implementations across at least two different industries (for example manufacturing, medical devices, consumer goods, or technology), covering costing, inventory, or supply chain finance.
  • Proven ability to advise business stakeholders on alternative process models and leading practices, and to influence design decisions beyond what any single platform offers.
  • Working expertise in Oracle Fusion Cost Management and its supply chain touchpoints (Inventory, Manufacturing, Procurement, Order Management), Subledger Accounting, and Intercompany (or Oracle E-Business Suite R12 equivalents), sufficient to validate configuration, run fit-gap assessments, and explain accounting, control, reporting, and integration impacts.
  • Experience designing costing and inventory accounting solutions for a complex, global manufacturing and distribution environment, with strong knowledge of intercompany trade, transfer pricing, and cross-entity inventory movements and their accounting and reconciliation implications across AR, AP, Inventory, Costing, and GL.
  • Ability to develop functional specifications and partner effectively with technical teams on reports, interfaces, conversions, integrations, and extensions.

Preferred / Added Advantage

  • Direct participation in an Oracle E-Business Suite R12 to Oracle Fusion migration.
  • Experience with phased deployments, hybrid R12/Fusion coexistence, and complex legal entity or ledger structures.
  • Exposure to other ERP platforms (such as SAP) or cost management tools, which helps bring a platform-independent perspective.
  • Knowledge of Oracle Cloud reporting, data, and integration tools such as OTBI, BI Publisher, FBDI, REST/SOAP services, middleware, and light SQL for analysis and validation.
  • Professional certification such as CMA, CPA, CA, or ACCA, or Oracle Cloud certification.

Desired Characteristics

  • Platform-independent thinking and the credibility to challenge and influence senior Finance and business stakeholders.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to translate finance requirements into scalable application solutions.
  • Structured problem-solving, attention to detail, and the ability to assess downstream process and system impacts.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across Finance, Business, Product, Architecture, Development, and external implementation partners.
  • A continuous-improvement mindset with a focus on standardization, controls, adoption, and sustainable support.
