Description
The Urban Renewal Authority (“URA”) is tasked to undertake, encourage, promote and facilitate urban renewal of Hong Kong in accordance with the provisions of the Urban Renewal Authority Ordinance and the Urban Renewal Strategy published by the Government. The URA adopts a comprehensive and holistic approach by ways of its two core businesses i.e. redevelopment and rehabilitation, as well as preservation, revitalisation and retrofitting, for creating a sustainable and quality living environment for the people of Hong Kong.
Responsibilities:
- Support the configuration, administration, and continuous enhancement of the Case Management System, including user access, workflow forms, business rules, and system parameters.
- Investigate system incidents, perform detailed root-cause analysis, and coordinate technical resolutions with business users, software vendors, and internal teams.
- Develop, configure, and maintain artificial intelligence applications, automated workflows, agents, prompts, and integrations on approved corporate platforms.
- Build prototypes and production applications using AI-assisted coding tools, ensuring code quality, security, and compliance through testing and documentation.
- Design, write, and maintain business applications, scripts, and interfaces utilizing technologies such as JavaScript, Python, web APIs, and databases.
- Collaborate with business users to analyze end-to-end operational processes, identify process pain points, and define detailed functional requirements.
- Formulate comprehensive test cases, coordinate user acceptance testing, and provide professional technical support and guidance to end-users.
- Implement standards for information security, data privacy, responsible AI usage, and change management compliance.
Requirements
- Degree holder in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant professional experience in application development, systems support, or business application implementation.
- Fresh graduates with substantial internship, placement year, or equivalent practical hands-on experience will also be considered for appointment as Assistant Officer.
- Solid hands-on programming skills in JavaScript and Python, with familiarity in web development, APIs, databases, software testing methodologies and version control.
- Exposure to AI platforms, workflow automation, agent development, generative AI, or AI-assisted coding.
- Experience in supporting configurable enterprise applications or case management systems is an advantage.
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
- Attention to detail, with a sense of ownership over assigned tasks and the capability to manage priorities and meet project deadlines.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a proven ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
