General Summary:
We seek a passionate engineer with in-depth knowledge on camera auto exposure/tone algorithm/tuning to join the Camera Systems team.
The Camera Systems team creates embedded imaging solutions for Snapdragon chipsets that power advanced mobile devices. Our solutions leverage dedicated hardware, multi-core processors, DSP, and GPU cores to provide state-of-the-art photographs, video recordings, as well as scene data for image understanding and object detection. Responsibilities include the following:
\- Research and development for next generation camera features and image quality improvement.
\- Prototype solutions on mobile platforms for proof of concept and demonstration purposes.
\- Deployment and tuning support of solutions that improve the mobile imaging experience.
\- Design of camera systems that balance power, memory, silicon area to maximize imaging performance.
\- - Design auto exposure / tone algorithm to achieve best camera image auto exposure quality.
\- - Design image processing algorithm and acceleration on CPU/GPU/DSP.
Qualification
\- 5+ years working experiences in the following areas:
\- Camera and image processing technologies.
\- Expert at camera 3A algorithm design and implementation.
\- Deep understanding of ISP pipeline and brightness modules, mobile camera sensors and optics.
\- Linux SW development experience.
\- Hands-on experience developing algorithms for mobile devices.
\- Image signal processor pipeline design.
\- Customer support/ camera tuning experience.
\- C, C++, Python, Matlab.
\- familiar with digital camera basic concept, proficient in Lightroom/Photoshop editing tool and LUTs implement is better.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently transports between offices, buildings, and campuses up to ½ mile.
- Frequently transports and installs equipment up to 5 lbs.
- Performs required tasks at various heights (e.g., standing or sitting).
- Monitors and utilizes computers and test equipment for more than 6 hours a day.
- Continuous communication which includes the comprehension of information with colleagues, customers, and vendors both in person and remotely.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
