Position purpose:

This is a high-impact global leadership role with responsibility for approximately £2.5 billion in Marketing and Sales spend. You will shape category strategies, strengthen strategic supplier relationships and deliver commercial value across a complex, highly visible portfolio. Working closely with senior leaders in Marketing, Sales and Commercial Operations—including at Excomm level—you will help drive value, efficiency and responsible supply. Key responsibilities:

In this role, you will set direction, influence senior stakeholders and deliver measurable value across a global portfolio. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Shape and deliver end-to-end procurement strategies across Marketing and Sales categories, including agencies, creative services, media, market research, promotional materials, co-commercialisation and market access
• Lead supplier selection, contracting and complex commercial negotiations to secure competitive terms, high quality and reliable delivery
• Partner across Marketing, Sales, Legal, Finance and Compliance to align procurement strategies with commercial priorities and regulatory requirements
• Elevate supplier performance, strengthen resilience and continuity, and lead focused remediation or improvement plans where required
• Build, inspire and develop a high-performing procurement team while navigating a global, matrixed environment
• Track savings, value delivery and key metrics, translating insight into clear recommendations for senior leaders

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for an accomplished procurement leader who brings the following experience and capabilities:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, procurement, supply chain, marketing, finance or a related field
• Significant procurement experience with accountability for marketing, commercial or services categories
• A proven record of translating category strategies into meaningful commercial outcomes
• Strong experience negotiating complex contracts and building productive supplier relationships
• Demonstrated success partnering with senior stakeholders across Marketing, Sales, Finance and Legal
• Experience leading and developing teams in a hybrid, matrixed environment

 

Preferred Qualifications:

You will be especially well positioned to succeed if you also bring:

• Experience partnering with creative agencies, media-buying providers or promotional-goods suppliers
• Experience with outcome-based contracting, strategic partnerships or supplier-led innovation
• Knowledge of the regulatory and compliance considerations shaping marketing and commercial activities
• Strong data and commercial-analysis skills, supported by experience with procurement tools and dashboards
• A professional procurement qualification, such as CIPS or equivalent
• Experience delivering change across large, cross-functional commercial programmes
