Job Description:

J&J Innovative Medicine is expanding its cold chain capabilities to support a growing product pipeline. The Cold Chain Operations team oversees the storage, handling, and logistics of cold chain intermediates, active pharmaceutical ingredients, drug products and finished goods across the end-to-end supply chain. The team deploys off-site storage solutions, optimizes product flow, and develops long-term cold chain strategies for biotherapeutics- and synthetics platforms.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

The Cold Chain Operations Project Manager leads the logistics integration of synthetics cold chain products across the supply chain. This role will also lead 3PL cold chain logistics services in support in Synthetics & Biotherapeutics platform. The role implements logistics processes and operating models that improve cost efficiency and sustainability across the supply chain. It also develops innovative solutions to support technology transfers, new product launches, and deployment of the cold chain strategy. Working across functions, the manager drives the coordinated execution of cold chain initiatives across the network.

• Lead implementation of cold chain transfers in support of Biotherapeutics and Synthetics supply chain into and out of 3PL cold chain sites.
• Stand up new 3PL cold chain sites in support of the networks strategy.
• Support multi function team in development and implementation of synthetics capacity management processes for cold chain products.
• Deploy the integrated strategy to expand flexible storage capacity across the cold chain network in collaboration with cross-functional partners.
  • Lead and collaborate with the CCO project leads to initiate and maintain E2E cold chain project management oversight for on time delivery (financials, resourcing, etc).
  • Lead and facilitate regular program updates to sponsors and core team up through final project sign off.
• Integrate cold chain procedures and systems into 3PL sites in support of start-up timelines and new product introductions.
• Develop post “go live” operational plans for each project to include systems, process, and people deliverables.
• Lead operational oversight of 3PL cold chain sites in support of the product portfolios, ensuring logistics partners meet company standards for safety, compliance, service, and cost.
  • Deliver on the Cold Chain Operations budget and Continuous Improvement Projects (CIPs).
  • Maintain compliance with all company standards and procedures.
• Minimum Qualification
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in supply chain logistics; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • Expertise in multi-node cold chain logistics capacity planning, particularly within pharmaceuticals.
  • Experience leading and developing successful cross-functional global teams. FPX project methodology preferred.
• Strong prioritization skills with the ability to influence, collaborate, and partner across organizational boundaries.
  • Good working knowledge of supply chain functions including Quality, Technical Operations, Finance, Planning, and Procurement.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
• Excellent computer proficiency e.g. MS Office, Project, Visio.
• Excellent analytical skill to identify gaps and root causes of issues and think out of the box to develop a solution.
• Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision to meet tight deadlines and maintain a positive attitude.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is:

€79,800.00 - €137,770.00
