Position Overview

The Server Assistant plays an essential role in creating a seamless and memorable dining experience for our members and their guests. Working closely with servers, bartenders, culinary staff, and managers, this position helps maintain dining room readiness, supports the flow of service, and ensures that members receive attentive, timely, and professional hospitality.

From preparing tables and delivering food and beverages to anticipating service needs and maintaining a clean dining environment, the Server Assistant helps ensure that every detail meets the high standards of The Clubs of Cordillera Ranch.

Key Responsibilities

Dining Room Readiness & Table Maintenance

• Prepare dining tables and service areas before each shift according to established club standards.
• Ensure tables, chairs, service stations, and surrounding areas are clean, organized, and presentable.
• Reset tables promptly and accurately following established service procedures.
• Maintain adequate supplies of silverware, glassware, china, napkins, and other service essentials.
• Monitor the dining room throughout service to ensure tables and guest areas remain clean and inviting.
• Complete opening, closing, and assigned side-work duties to maintain operational readiness.

Service Support & Food Delivery

• Assist servers in delivering food and beverages to members and their guests promptly and accurately.
• Ensure food is delivered to the correct table and presented according to club standards.
• Assist with clearing plates, removing used glassware, and maintaining organized tables throughout the dining experience.
• Support the timely clearing and resetting of tables to maintain an efficient dining room.
• Anticipate the needs of servers and proactively provide assistance during busy service periods.
• Communicate special requests, service concerns, and member needs to the appropriate team members.
• Assist with additional service tasks as directed by the serving team or management.

Member Experience & Hospitality

• Greet and interact with members and their guests in a friendly, professional, and welcoming manner.
• Demonstrate awareness of member needs and provide assistance whenever appropriate.
• Maintain a positive and attentive presence throughout the dining room.
• Respond promptly to requests and communicate effectively with servers and managers.
• Maintain knowledge of dining room procedures, menu offerings, and service standards to better assist members.
• Help create a comfortable, polished, and memorable dining experience through consistent attention to detail.

Teamwork & Communication

• Work collaboratively with servers, bartenders, food runners, culinary staff, and managers.
• Maintain clear and respectful communication during all stages of service.
• Support teammates during high-volume periods and assist wherever operational needs are required.
• Demonstrate initiative by identifying tasks that need attention without waiting to be directed.
• Follow established procedures for food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked service station.
• Perform other duties assigned to support the overall success of the Food & Beverage operation.

Work Environment & Schedule

This position operates in a dynamic, team-oriented food and beverage environment. The Server Assistant must be comfortable standing and walking for extended periods, carrying service items, moving efficiently throughout dining and service areas, and meeting the physical demands of restaurant operations, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Flexible scheduling is required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays based on operational needs.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Previous restaurant, food service, or hospitality experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a service team.
