Research Assistant - Robotics Institute

Carnegie Mellon University’s Robotics Institute is searching for a Research Assistant to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in an interesting and challenging work environment.

We are seeking creative and upbeat Research Assistant that will follow research plans in order to collect, record and manipulate research data. Maintains accurate and detailed research records.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Develop software and hardware implementations for robot-assisted feeding.

- Conduct user study evaluations with robotics hardware and target populations for robot-assisted feeding.

- Analyze user study data and results and prepare research articles.

- Other duties as assigned.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Master's Degree

- Programming experience in Python

- Research experience, IRB experience, and experience with conducting human studies

A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.

Training:

- OSHA Hazardous Materials Safety Training
