Description
The role
The Head of iBabs is the central leadership point for iBabs. The role has four pillars:
- Full ownership of the tender process and direct management of the Tender Management and Consultancy teams.
- Overall coordination of the iBabs team. This means leading the iBabs Management Team and aligning Sales, Marketing, Support, Technology and Product, which sit in ECS functional organizations.
- Being the voice of iBabs in the Netherlands towards customers and the market.
- Act as a key contributor to the iBabs product roadmap and vision.
Additionally, as a member of the ECS Management Team, the Head of iBabs actively promotes and translates the ECS strategy and culture within his/her scope of responsibility, fostering engagement and ensuring alignment with ECS’ vision and objectives
This role suits a leader who can deliver through influence as much as through management, and who is equally credible with a client such as a municipal clerk, an internal stakeholder – whether sales, product, marketing, support or technology – and the ECS Management Team.
Key responsibilities
1. Tender process and team leadership
- Own the full tender process end to end: identifying and qualifying opportunities, preparing and submitting responses to maximise win rate, organising functional demos, and implementing new customers after award.
- Lead and develop the Tender Management and Consultancy teams, including Tender implementation projects and resource planning in line with growth.
- Ensure new customers are onboarded and implemented on time, on scope and to a high quality.
- Build repeatable processes, bid content and capabilities that keep iBabs the reference in Dutch public procurement.
2. Coordination of the iBabs management team
- Coordinate the iBabs Management Team and set shared priorities, objectives and a clear operating cadence.
- Drive cross-functional alignment between Sales, Marketing, Support, Product and Tech so that everyone works behind one set of iBabs priorities and customer commitments.
- Remove blockers, clarify ownership and accelerate decisions across functions.
- Share iBabs priorities with the ECS Management Team and incorporate feedback.
3. Representation in the Dutch market
- Act as the voice and face of iBabs in the Netherlands with customers, partners, sector bodies such as VNG, and public-sector decision makers.
- Build executive relationships with key customers and support major commercial opportunities.
- Represent iBabs at industry events and customer forums.
- Bring customer, competitive and regulatory signals back into the business
4. Product roadmap and vision
- Contribute to the iBabs roadmap with Product leadership, bringing market, tender and implementation insight into prioritization.
- Advocate for customer needs and emerging market opportunities.
- Help shape iBabs's long-term positioning within the market and within the ECS and Euronext offering.
What success looks like after 12–18 months
- Tender win rate and pipeline coverage improve against the prior baseline.
- Implementations are delivered on time, measured by time-to-go-live and customer satisfaction at go-live.
- Cross-functional priorities are clear and shared, with a measurable gain in execution speed.
- iBabs has a strong, visible market presence and executive customer relationships in the Netherlands.
- A visible contribution to roadmap decisions is in place.
Profile
- Senior leadership experience in SaaS or software serving the public sector, or in public-sector organizations working closely with technology vendors.
- Deep, hands-on experience with Dutch public procurement and tendering.
- A track record of leading through influence in a matrix organization.
- A senior presence with customers and stakeholders, combined with the ability to roll up sleeves on execution.
- The ability to translate customer and market insight into product vision.
- Fluency in Dutch and English.
