Description
WHY JOIN US
■ Design what a modern, AI-first SEO and web delivery team looks like, not just run the old one.
■ Work with the latest AI tools, with leadership that backs you to use them.
■ Real ownership: a team, a product and a direct line to the Head of Product.
■ A Brisbane agency big enough to matter and small enough to move fast.
WHY THIS ROLE EXISTS
We're turning SEO and websites from custom, one-off work into standard products that deliver the same quality for every client, every month. A Brisbane agency serving a large portfolio of Australian small and medium businesses. Our delivery team already uses AI every day: Claude, custom skills and automated workflows for research, content and tickets. We don't grow by adding headcount every time we add clients. We grow by building smarter systems. You'll own that system for SEO and web delivery, and work with our Head of Product to make it standard, measurable and scalable.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
1. Own SEO and web delivery, end to end
■ Make sure every SEO and website deliverable is planned, assigned, checked and shipped on time. ■ Keep a live view of workload, deadlines and risks, so nothing sits waiting and nothing surprises a client.
■ Be the escalation point when delivery goes off track, and fix the cause, not just the ticket.
2. Standardise our SEO and web products
■ Define exactly what each SEO and website package includes, and how it gets delivered.
■ Turn that into playbooks, SOPs, templates and QA checklists the whole team follows.
■ Work with the Head of Product and teams across the business (sales, account management, marketing) to design and launch new SEO and web packages.
■ Feed back what clients need and where products break, so we can keep improving them.
3. Lead and grow the delivery team
■ Manage our distributed SEO, content and web team day to day.
■ Set clear goals, KPIs and a weekly operating rhythm: stand-ups, 1:1s, reviews.
■ Coach people to solve problems themselves, and help hire as the team grows.
4. Build AI into every workflow
■ Find the manual, repetitive steps in research, audits, content, QA and reporting, and redesign them with AI.
■ Build and share Claude skills, prompts and automations (n8n or similar) the team uses daily.
■ Set guardrails so AI output is accurate, on-brand and safe with client data.
■ Measure the result: hours saved, faster turnaround, fewer errors.
5. Keep the quality bar high
■ Review work across technical SEO, on-page, content, local SEO and website builds.
■ Know enough to challenge a decision and spot when output isn't good enough.
■ Keep our approach current as search changes, including visibility in AI search (Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity).
6. Report and improve
■ Report delivery health to the Head of Product: on-time rate, quality, capacity, turnaround.
■ Use the data to remove bottlenecks and decide what to automate next.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
Must have
■ AI native. You use AI tools every day and have built workflows or automations that changed how a team works. You can show us one.
■ Team leadership. 2+ years managing a delivery team, including remote or distributed staff across time zones.
■ SEO depth. 5+ years in SEO, with solid technical knowledge: crawling and indexation, site structure, on-page, Search Console, GA4 and audits.
■ Agency delivery. Experience running many client deliverables at once, to deadline.
■ Process builder. You've written SOPs, QA checks and standards that other people actually follow. ■ Clear communicator. You can explain a problem simply and report to leadership with numbers.
Nice to have
■ Automation tools such as n8n, Zapier or Make, or light scripting.
■ Website delivery experience on site builders or CMSs (Duda, WordPress).
■ Experience with AI search visibility (AEO / GEO).
■ HubSpot and ClickUp.
■ Experience turning a service into a standard, repeatable product. You'll thrive here if you notice when a task takes eight steps but should take three, and your first instinct is to fix the system, not add another person. This role isn't a pure SEO strategy role, a hands-on SEO specialist role, or a project coordinator who only updates the task board.
