A Snapshot
As the Business Manager based in Johor Bahru or Kuala Lumpur, reporting to the Vice President & Country Head, Malaysia, serving as a strategic partner across business functions, driving leadership effectiveness, operational excellence, and cross-functional alignment across the country.
This role blends administration and strategic execution responsibilities, ensuring that Malaysia’s business priorities are documented and executed. The role requires strong organizational judgement, attention to detail, and ability to operate cross functions.
Your Day to Day
- Support the Malaysia leadership team with business administration, meeting coordination, briefing materials and follow-up on decisions and actions.
- Coordinate cross-functional priorities, deadlines, approvals and stakeholder matters across the Malaysia business.
- Maintain a secure, searchable repository for key corporate, project, regulatory, commercial, governance and due diligence documents.
- Track Malaysia governance obligations, approvals, renewals and submissions; coordinate supporting papers and audit materials with relevant teams.
- Coordinate due diligence information requests, data rooms and stakeholder reviews, escalating gaps or inconsistencies.
- Consolidate management information and support regular business reviews, reports, dashboards and executive presentations.
- Improve business processes by developing practical templates, trackers and procedures.
- Support employee engagement, CSR and stakeholder programs; act as a point of contact for stakeholders engaging with senior leaders.
Requirements
- Min. 8 years of relevant experience in business operations, business administration, executive support, governance or project coordination.
- Strong organisation and follow-through, with the ability to manage priorities, deadlines and detailed information.
- Skilled in preparing concise reports, presentations, meeting materials and trackers.
- Experience managing documents, records or information repositories, with good attention to confidentiality and access control.
- Clear communicator, able to coordinate across functions and engage internal and external stakeholders.
- Proactive and detail-oriented, with sound judgement and an interest in improving processes.
- Proficiency with common business productivity tools; familiarity with Malaysia business or regulatory processes is an advantage.
