Launch Your Career in Data and Analytics

Aon is looking for soon-to-be graduates and recent graduates to join our Early Careers Launch Development Program within our analytics hub in Dublin. Through the Launch Program and on-the-job learning, you will develop the technical, analytical, and business skills needed to turn data into trusted insights and support better decisions.

As analytics professional, you will operate at the intersection of analytics, AI, and business judgement, validating analytical outputs, challenging assumptions, and translating analysis into business value.

 

Within our graduate programme there will be a number of roles in two tracks:

Engineering track:

Software Engineer - Develops client and internal applications

Data Engineer - Builds and maintains data pipelines and platforms

Analyst track:

Data Analyst - Turns data into insight through analysis and visualisation

Business Analyst - Translates business needs into requirements and process change

Data and Analytics

Aon delivers data and analytics solutions across two primary pillars: Risk Capital and Human Capital, helping organizations manage uncertainty, optimize capital, and support their workforces. Based in Dublin, together with partner hubs in Krakow, Singapore and Bangalore, develops innovative data solutions for colleagues, clients, and Aon partners. The D&A team works across the entire analytics lifecycle, leveraging both Aon proprietary and external data sources to provide new insights within our AI enabled products and services.

The Launch Development Program

Launch is a structured 10-month Early Career development program that combines meaningful work, business learning, professional development, and relationship-building across Aon. The program helps you build a strong foundation for a long-term career through:

• On-the-job learning with analysts, engineers, product teams, business partners, and specialists.
• Business and professional development in communication, collaboration, problem-solving, commercial awareness, and client service.
• Exposure to AI, data and technology through meaningful work, practical learning, and technology-enabled delivery.
• Networking, mentorship, and coaching opportunities to build relationships across Aon and develop your career path.

What Will Help You Succeed and Grow

We are looking for candidates who are curious, motivated, and excited to learn. Through the Launch Program, you will continue developing the skills and capabilities that support a successful career, including:

• An interest in analytics, AI, technology, data-driven decision-making, and problem-solving.
• A relevant third-level qualification, or transferable skills and demonstrated aptitude to work in data and analytics.
• Foundational understanding of AI-enabled technologies, with an interest in prompt engineering and evaluating AI outputs.
• Critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical ability, including the confidence to challenge assumptions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to present complex ideas clearly.
• Curiosity, learning agility and the ability to investigate challenges independently.
• A collaborative and dependable approach when working with technical and non-technical colleagues.
• Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage priorities and contribute to project delivery.

Graduates or soon to be graduates in a third level qualification in an Analytical, IT or Business-related field. In addition to that, you will have:

• Working knowledge of SQL, Python/R, Node.js/React.js/JSON to perform data querying, building data models and conducting data analysis
• Understanding of AI technologies, LLMs, RAG, Machine Learning and Deep Learning concepts
• Experience/familiar with Cloud (AWS), Serverless Architecture, Agile, DevOps (CI/CD) or Databricks
• Deploy, manage, optimize and support AI systems on cloud platforms, with Azure services experience
• UI/UX skills and application development/testing would be an advantage
• Understanding of data structure, algorithms and software design
• An interest in analysing and manipulating large data sets, Comfortable exploring and working with data through SQL when required.
• Understanding of Agile, Scrum or Kanban project management methodologies
