From technical to operational to professional disciplines, our team brings a wide variety of skills, talents, and expertise to the table. We believe in both dedicating ourselves to excellence and investing in your growth.

As a Monitoring & Diagnostics Specialist you will help keep our power generation fleet running reliably by turning real-time operating data into insights that make a difference. You'll combine your power plant operations experience, technical curiosity, and problem-solving skills to identify equipment issues before they become costly failures. Working alongside engineers, plant teams, and technical experts, you'll play an important role in strengthening reliability and improving performance across our generating fleet.

What You’ll Do

  • Monitor advanced analytics and predictive models to identify equipment performance issues and potential reliability risks across coal and natural gas power plants.
  • Analyze real-time operating data, investigate anomalies, and collaborate with technical experts to troubleshoot issues and recommend solutions.
  • Partner with plant operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to proactively address equipment concerns and prevent unplanned outages.
  • Evaluate equipment performance before and after maintenance activities, identifying opportunities to improve reliability.
  • Develop dashboards, reports, and data visualizations that turn complex information into actionable insights for leadership.
  • Track equipment issues, quantify avoided costs, and contribute to continuous improvement across our generating fleet.

What You’ll Need

  • At least 8 years of experience in coal or natural gas power plant operations and maintenance, or equivalent work or military experience.
  • Strong understanding of thermal power plant equipment, systems, and operating processes.
  • Familiarity with distributed control systems (DCS), PI data historian, and Microsoft Office tools, including Excel and Power BI.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment documentation.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills.

What Associated provides:

  • We are committed to rewarding talent with top pay. Your efforts will be recognized with a total compensation package that reflects your experience and contributions.
