Custody Administration Account Manager administers an assigned book of Institutional Custody relationships. Works with clients, third party manager and operations on a daily basis to ensure transactions and securities are completed timely and accurately. This role administers and retains assigned accounts including, Bond Trustee, Bond Registrar, Paying Agent, Escrow Agent and Custody.
Depth & Scope:
- Participates in presentations to Clients to provide information on a variety of trust and financial services
- Monitors Clients' accounts, resolving problems and offering alternatives
- Ensures the accuracy and maintenance of Client records and files and updates information as needed
- Coordinates with more experienced staff, when appropriate to resolve more difficult Client issues, problems and requests
- Communicates regularly with Operations, Tax, Compliance and Sales personnel and other appropriate internal areas to give and receive updated Client information
- Ensures proper administration of Company policies and regulatory guidelines and ensures coordination of services
- Develops business plans with results based on activities identified and quantified to broaden and expand Client relationships
- Identifies referral opportunities within book of business and engage PCS partners and internal/external contacts to close on those opportunities
- Attains predetermined annual sales, cross-referral and account retention goals through proactive Client contact
- Assists PCS team members with business development activities
- Participates in department administration and committees as required
- Evaluates issues, problems and opportunities in department's account relationships and recommends changes in policies and procedures to improve efficiency and enhance revenue
- Suggests changes for operational improvement
- Complies with Corporate Trust policy and procedures and business strategies
- Reviews legal documents of assigned accounts to determine terms, responsibilities and duties of the Company
- Works independently with limited supervision from senior staff members
- Administers more complex accounts
- Meets with Clients regularly to review proposals
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or progressive work experience in addition to experience below
- 5+ Years of related experience
- Thorough knowledge of Corporate Trust laws required
- Financial professional designation preferred
- Proven sales ability, including successfully attracting new Clients
- Attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, written, verbal and presentation
- High performance standards for self and others
- Strong execution skills and action oriented
- Critical thinker with flexibility and ability to think out of the box to provide solutions to meet a variety of business/market needs
- Completion of a recognized certification program preferred prior to employment
