Responsibilities
Has overall responsibility for directing, administering, and managing the hospital-wide Employee Health program. The Employee Health Supervisor is a professional nurse with advanced knowledge, skill, and competence in all areas of Employee and Occupational Health. In addition, serves as a resource to all hospital departments and medical staff as it relates to Employee Health matters. Works with adolescent, adult, and geriatric population, whether they are an employee, auxiliary personnel, student, or medical staff member.
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
1. Must hold an Associate’s degree from an accredited school of nursing with four years ofnursing experience.2. Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia.3. Demonstrated ability to assume Charge Nurse responsibilities and clinical expertise.4. Certified in Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation [CPR]
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION
PREFERRED
1. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school of nursing with four years of nursingexperience.2. Two years of experience in an Occupational or Public Health Nursing position3. Certification in Occupational Health [COHN or COHNS], or obtain within 18 months of hire.4. Emergency Department nursing experience.5. Three years of previous experience in an Occupational Health leadership position.6. One (1) year of experience in a supervisory role. Proven skills needed to plan, direct, andcoordinate activities and programs involving a wide range of departments.
