Rabobank is seeking an accomplished Executive Director, Corporate Banking to join our Wholesale Banking team. 

This is a senior client coverage role supporting some of the region’s largest and most complex organisations across the Food and Agribusiness sector, with potential exposure to Energy Transition clients. You will lead strategic client relationships, originate new business and bring together Rabobank’s local expertise, global network and product capabilities to deliver tailored financial solutions.

What you’ll do 

As a senior member of Wholesale Banking, you will take ownership of a portfolio of high-value corporate relationships while identifying and converting new-to-bank opportunities. 

Your key responsibilities will include: 

• Developing and strengthening relationships with existing clients and prospective customers

• Leading client strategy, deal origination and transaction execution 

• Identifying lending, capital structure, working capital and risk-management opportunities

• Preparing and presenting compelling client pitches and financing solutions 

• Leading conversations with CEOs, CFOs, treasurers and business owners 

• Coordinating credit, legal and approval processes from origination through to completion

• Bringing together product, credit and sector specialists to deliver an integrated client experience

• Connecting clients with Rabobank’s global knowledge, network and capital structuring capabilities

• Steering client service teams and developing longer-term relationship strategies

• Actively managing portfolio risk, concentration and returns

• Representing Wholesale Banking in the local market and across the broader Rabobank network

• Where applicable, coaching and leading Coverage Banking colleagues. 

You will also play an important role in helping clients navigate their sustainability journeys, using commercial insight and thoughtful storytelling to identify solutions relevant to their business and sector. 

What you’ll bring

You will be a credible and influential senior banker with a strong record of building trusted relationships and delivering complex corporate financing solutions.

Ideally, you will have:

• A degree in finance, economics, agriculture or a related discipline

• Extensive experience in corporate and institutional banking, leveraged finance or a comparable environment

• Demonstrated relationship-management and business-origination experience

• Strong corporate credit assessment, financial analysis and debt-structuring capability

• Experience pitching and negotiating debt solutions with senior executives

• A sound understanding of corporate finance, structured finance, accounting, tax and relevant legal considerations

• Knowledge of debt products, financial markets and sustainable finance solutions

• The ability to lead multidisciplinary deal teams and manage complex credit and transaction processes

• Strong commercial judgement, attention to detail and the ability to balance competing priorities

• A confident, articulate and collaborative communication style 

• A strong affinity with Food and Agribusiness and an interest in supporting the sector’s long-term success.
