Custodian

Amentum has an exciting opportunity for a Full-Time Custodian to join our team in Alice Springs. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a supportive, community-driven environment and is looking for a healthy work-life balance.

About the Role:

You will be responsible for providing housekeeping for temporary quarters (TQ), general cleaning services across the site, and laundry services for staff and business travelers.

Work Schedule:

​​Day shift – 5 days per week, 8 hours per day​

Essential Responsibilities:

• ​​Cleaning TQ lodging, operational buildings, tech and support areas
• ​Laundry services for TQs
• ​Floor polishing, carpet steam cleaning
• ​Inventory and supply management
• ​Rubbish removal and dusting
• ​Promoting site safety and high standards of customer service​

Minimum Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities)

• 3 to 5 years’ experience in Hospitality/Industrial Custodial industry
• Driver's License

Preferred Qualifications (Not required, but advantageous to have)

• Certificate in Health Support Services or Hospitality

  • Health Safety Representative Training

WORK ENVIRONMENT, PHYSICAL DEMANDS, AND MENTAL DEMANDS

• Typical office environment with no unusual hazards. Occasional lifting to 10kgs independently, kneeling, standing and walking, routinely sitting and constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, use of cleaning products and tools, and must be able to work under deadlines.

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT

REQUIRED: Australian Negative Vetting (NV1) equivalent Department of Defense Security Clearance and ability to maintain that clearance. Depending on ongoing mission needs and access the role requires, the candidate may be required to obtain a higher Australian Top Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) clearance.​

STATEMENT OF WORK REQUIREMENTS

All personnel assigned shall be:

• At least 18 years of age.
• Able to fluently read, write and speak English
• Current USA or AUS Citizen
• Able to obtain and retain the appropriate level of security clearance and medical clearance applicable to each role.

This position is designated as a safety sensitive position.
