Description
Restaurant General Manager
Casual Beach Bar & Grill | Caribbean
Compensation
- Base Salary: $50,000 to $60,000 USD
- Relocation included, with a round-trip ticket
- Housing provided (temporary accommodation or a two-bedroom home near the restaurant)
- Vehicle provided
- Work permit provided
Role Overview
Leads day-to-day operations at a high-volume, year-round casual beach bar and grill, open for lunch and dinner. The restaurant is already running well and is a market leader on a small, close-knit island. The outgoing GM is moving to a finance-focused role, so this position owns operations and the guest experience. You will work alongside ownership and a newly hired HR Director.
Please note: this is a single-outlet, laid-back beachfront restaurant. It is not a fit for candidates seeking multi-outlet management or a luxury resort role. We are looking for a different profile: a hands-on restaurant operator who thrives in a busy, casual setting.
Key Deliverables
- Operations leadership: run daily service across a busy, high-volume restaurant
- Guest experience: keep raising the bar on service while protecting what already works
- Large group service: execute events and large parties with consistency
- Team leadership: lead and motivate a multicultural, seasonally scaling team
- Fresh ideas: bring new thinking to a well-run operation
- Hands-on presence: step in and serve a table when needed
Required Qualifications
- Caribbean working experience required
- Proven track record managing a high-volume, busy restaurant
- Strong operations background, ready to lead from day one with no training needed
- Guest-facing leader who leads by example and works well with people from many cultures
- Experience handling large groups and events
- Comfortable with a slow-paced, remote island lifestyle where everyone knows everyone
Client identity withheld pending mutual candidate interest.
