Description
Eternity Systems/MTNA, Inc. operates an industrial service center specializing in the washing and processing of reusable plastic containers. Our Rancho Cucamonga facility operates 24 hours a day, six days per week.
The Maintenance Department supports operations across all shifts, with technicians assigned to each shift along with Maintenance leadership and administrative support. Preventive maintenance is scheduled with a focus on completing thorough maintenance on individual machines while minimizing operational disruption.
Position SummaryEternity Systems/MTNA, Inc. is seeking an experienced, hands-on Industrial Maintenance Technician with strong electrical troubleshooting capabilities to support our 24-hour industrial wash operation in Rancho Cucamonga.
We are looking for a self-starter with solid knowledge of industrial electricity, including three-phase systems, AC/DC circuits, industrial voltages, current, frequency, power, harmonics, and leakage current. The ideal candidate will also be comfortable working across mechanical systems, welding/fabrication, and forklift maintenance.
This position requires someone who can independently identify electrical and mechanical problems, troubleshoot equipment to the root cause, safely complete repairs, and communicate clearly with Operations regarding equipment status and repair timelines.
The right candidate will not wait for equipment to fail. We need someone who takes ownership of preventive maintenance, identifies potential issues early, and works collaboratively with Maintenance and Operations to keep equipment operating safely and reliably.
Key ResponsibilitiesElectrical Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair industrial electrical systems and equipment.
- Apply working knowledge of three-phase power, AC/DC circuits, industrial voltages, current, frequency, power, harmonics, and leakage current when diagnosing equipment problems.
- Diagnose electrical faults involving motors, sensors, switches, relays, contactors, breakers, control circuits, safety circuits, VFDs, and related electrical components.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, equipment manuals, and control documentation.
- Create basic electrical diagrams based on specific equipment or operational needs.
- Identify and select appropriate electrical components and materials based on electrical diagrams and application requirements.
- Perform basic assembly, wiring, and construction of electrical panels based on approved electrical diagrams and specifications.
- Safely troubleshoot safety circuits within electrical panels to identify the source of equipment faults.
- Replace failed electrical components with appropriate same-brand replacements.
- Identify and install suitable equivalent electrical components from different manufacturers when direct replacements are unavailable.
- Wire industrial electric motors and verify proper connections and operation.
- Read and interpret electric motor nameplates, including voltage, amperage, phase, frequency, and power information.
- Determine appropriate VFD requirements based on motor specifications and application.
- Select appropriate electrical cable and conductor sizing based on the electrical load and application.
- Perform electrical testing using appropriate diagnostic equipment, including multimeters and other electrical testing tools.
- Follow applicable electrical safety procedures and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) requirements at all times.
Mechanical & General Maintenance

- Document completed work, repairs, parts used, findings, and outstanding issues.
- Maintain clear communication with Operations, including equipment status, repair progress, and estimated completion times.
- Assist with training and sharing technical knowledge with other maintenance technicians.
- Maintain tools, parts, equipment, electrical panels, and maintenance work areas in a safe and organized condition.
- 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience preferred.
- Strong industrial electrical troubleshooting experience required.
- Working knowledge of three-phase electrical systems, AC/DC circuits, voltage, amperage, frequency, power, and related industrial electrical principles.
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose electrical faults and troubleshoot industrial control circuits.
- Experience troubleshooting motors, VFDs, sensors, relays, contactors, switches, breakers, and safety circuits.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
