About the Role
We have an opportunity for an experienced Accounts Receivable Manager to join our National Finance Team at BDO. The Accounts Receivable Manager will be responsible for leading and managing the onshore and offshore team activities, collections and cash application processes, while maintaining strong internal controls and exceptional stakeholder relationships. You will collaborate across the business, building rapport with key stakeholders, including executives, while acting as the go-to AR subject matter expert and driving process improvements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead the end-to-end Accounts Receivable function, ensuring collections and cash allocation activities
- Manage the AR team to deliver efficient debtor management and maintain healthy cash flow across the business
- Monitor aged debtors, proactively identify risks and implement collection strategies to minimise outstanding balances
- Partner with internal stakeholders to resolve billing queries, disputes and collection issues
- Support month-end closing activities, reporting, reconciliations and revenue-related processes
- Review and completion of vendor forms and vendor onboarding portals
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with BDO's policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls while fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment
- Lead process improvement initiatives and leverage technology to enhance efficiency, reporting and best practice
About You
- 3+ years' experience managing an accounts receivable team or in a similar leadership finance role
- Proven experience improving or implementing accounts receivable processes, collections strategies or automation solutions
- Experience with Workday (preferred but not essential)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills
- Well-developed communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence outcomes positively
- Self-motivated, confident and customer-focused with a continuous improvement mindset
