The Enterprise Relationship Management (“ERM”) team focuses on building and maintaining relationships Capital Group’s largest, multifaceted business relationships. The team works closely with Capital Group’s senior leadership across businesses and functions to enhance firm-wide client strategy, maximize value of our relationships, and deliver a superior client experience for select set of global financial institutions.

We are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic senior analyst to join the ERM team in London and contribute to growing and deepening our relationships with key global and European and Asian partners.

Primary responsibilities/essential functions

The successful applicant will work with the ERM Relationship Manager in London to deepen ongoing connectivity with partner firms’ senior relationship management teams, frequently engage with internal stakeholders to advance business priorities and possess a continuous improvement mindset to enhance how the team operates. The role’s regular responsibilities will include preparing partner plans on key accounts, drafting briefing notes for senior management engagements, researching client financials and press releases for relevant insights, joining client meetings, and actioning meeting follow-ups. Given the high-profile nature of the team and role, there will also be frequent projects related to client strategy and events. Time will be split between external and internal initiatives, including:

External facing:

  • Join and prepare the agenda for recurring relationship calls to share updates on the firm-wide Capital Group relationship with key global clients.

  • Support the coordination of high-impact strategic leadership engagements designed to discuss mutually important industry and business topics to materially advance the relationship across key verticals.

  • Partner with internal groups across the Europe and Asia Client Group to deliver CG’s firm-wide initiatives and strategy, particularly where these intersect with top global partners.

  • Over time, become a contributor during partner meetings, and build relationships with junior RMs at key firms.

  • Assist in raising Capital Group’s profile among key global clients as a trusted advisor, portfolio solutions provider, and a “first call” (for all needs, opportunities, and challenges).

Internal facing:

  • Drive the creation of globally cohesive client strategy for key accounts, which includes:

    • Creating and owning enterprise partner plans / engagement roadmaps.

    • Creating and maintaining relationship org charts to drive executive engagement strategy

    • Conducting client research on client’s long-term business priorities and objectives through leveraging industry research, listening to investor calls, and connecting with CG’s firm analysts to understand how to position CG as partner.

    • Supporting formal relationship reviews and partner planning routines.

  • Socialize the client strategy and depth/breadth of the relationship with key stakeholders, through:

    • Regularly engaging with partners across sales, investment operations, trading, and the investment group to share updates on key client initiatives and developments.

    • Maintaining informal regular dialogue on key initiatives/projects across the firm, building relationships with junior resources across Europe/Asia client group, and when relevant North America.

    • Disseminating notable news alerts and earnings updates on key ERM accounts.

  • Support CG executive engagement strategy across key accounts, including:

    • Preparing talking points and relationship snapshots for Capital Group executives in preparation for client meetings

    • Identifying client coverage gaps and proposing new introductions to CG leadership

    • Supporting the planning of several high-profile client events and summits throughout the year

Skills/qualifications

  • BA or BS degree is required; CFA / MBA is a plus.

  • Minimum of 2 years financial services industry experience.

  • Relationship management experience preferred.

  • Knowledge of financial markets and experience with sales and trading operations and/or time spent working at an asset manager.

  • Proficient knowledge of client engagement strategies and tactics.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment that is characterized by innovation, collaboration, communication, iteration, and speed.

  • Demonstrates business acumen and professional maturity in working with all levels of associates.

  • Demonstrates ability to initiate, develop, collaborate, and maintain good working relationships

  • Demonstrates intellectual curiosity and analytical thinking in areas of high complexity.

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

  • Strong PowerPoint, Word, Excel skills.

  • A critical eye for detail and strong ownership for work quality.

  • High energy and enthusiasm to influence groups and senior associates.

  • Comfort working with AI tools and solutions to enhance workflow and processes.

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
