A Management Analyst II job is available with the City of Fort Worth Development Services Department in the Development Coordination Division Strategic Operations section. The Strategic Operations section provides support, improvements, and training for the City’s permitting software Accela and ACA, GIS addressing/training/inquiries (mapping and data), data research and analytics [for the Development Advisory Committee (DAC), City Manager’s Office (CMO), Media, developers and City Council Members], Public Information Requests (PIR), hardware/software support for CFW owned devices, computers and work stations, department business process improvements (BPIs), and Lean Six Sigma project improvements.
The primary function of the position will be to provide a wide variety of analytical and research support for the department including developing the monthly reports; perform revenue analysis and provide guidance and recommendations for solutions of monetary reconciliation, fiscal, or operational concerns and issues.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Public Administration, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- Two (2) years of experience in the analysis of processes, procedures, operations, systems or methods, including experience in the functional area of assignment such as budget/financial management, research analysis or related experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with reconciliation of transactions and making necessary corrections
- Knowledge of PeopleSoft financials
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create and format PivotTables, charts and knowledge of standard Excel formulas, functions, and formatting
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, including the ability to create and format professional presentations
- Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt Certification
The Management Analyst II job responsibilities include:
- Act as lead in the preparation and development of the Development Advisory Committee (DAC) report each month and the Strategic Operations Informal Report (IR) to the Mayor and City Council
- Capture, monitor, analyze, and communicate monthly and quarterly KPI data to various areas within Development Services
- Work with stakeholders and subject matter experts to identify current processes and capabilities; analyze historical data to capture trends; identifies future needs; conducts needs and gap analyses; and identifies opportunities for process improvements, innovation, and automation
- Conduct monthly reconciliation of the Transportation Impact Fee Program (TrIF)
- Serve as an assigned department liaison with other city departments, divisions and outside agencies
- Assist in the preparation, development, interpretation, and implementation of City and departmental program standards, policies and procedures
- Identify areas of improvement by analyzing data, determine appropriate goals, and recommend strategies to meet or surpass these goals
