Job Description

As a Armed Security Officer - House of Worship Full Time in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a cultural institution location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. This armed post requires an Armed Guard Card/License, Concealed Carry Weapons Permit, and/or Law Enforcement Officer License. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, clergy, and congregants by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, entrances, gathering areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required, and support orderly entry during worship services, cultural programs, and special events.
• Maintain required armed post equipment and complete accurate activity, incident, and patrol documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and location procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• Possess a Law Enforcement Officer License.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
