Job Summary: 

Insurance is one of the key growth and revenue drivers for Airpay Money. With Airpay’s IRDAI Corporate Agent License, strong distribution network across Amplify (IFAs, MFDs, Insurance Agents), Vyapaar merchants, and payment gateway channels, we are positioned to significantly expand our insurance business. We are seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial leader to own the insurance business end-to-end, drive revenue growth, manage insurer partnerships, and build innovative insurance products that leverage Airpay’s distribution ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own and lead the Insurance Business for Airpay Money with complete accountability for revenue growth, profitability, and P&L performance.
• Develop and execute the overall business strategy to achieve insurance sales and revenue targets.
• Manage and strengthen relationships with insurance partners across Life, Health, and General Insurance segments.
• Negotiate commercials, commission structures, payouts, service agreements, and product terms with existing and prospective insurance partners.
• Identify and onboard new insurer partnerships to expand Airpay’s product portfolio and distribution capabilities.
• Conceptualize, design, and launch innovative insurance solutions, including:
  • Embedded insurance products for merchants.
  • Micro-insurance products for underserved customer segments.
  • Insurance offerings tailored for the Amplify network of IFAs and MFDs.
  • Point-of-sale insurance solutions through Airpay’s payment ecosystem.
• Collaborate closely with internal business, sales, product, technology, compliance, and operations teams to ensure successful product implementation and growth.
• Work in coordination with Airpay’s corporate insurance counterpart in Mumbai to align retail and corporate insurance strategies.
• Monitor market trends, customer needs, regulatory developments, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
• Ensure full compliance with IRDAI Corporate Agent regulations and internal governance requirements.
• Build and manage business performance dashboards, partner reviews, and growth initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Insurance, Marketing, or a related field.
• Professional certifications in Insurance or Financial Services will be an added advantage.
• Relevant IRDAI certifications and regulatory understanding preferred.

Skills and Experience:

• Minimum 8 years of experience in insurance sales and business development across both retail and corporate insurance segments.
• Strong network and established relationships with leading insurance companies across life, health, and general insurance.
• Proven experience in negotiating commercial agreements, payouts, and partnership contracts.
• Demonstrated success in achieving business growth and revenue targets.
• Experience in insurance product design, structuring, or launching new insurance propositions.
• Exposure to fintech, bancassurance, insurance broking, digital distribution, or insurtech environments preferred.
• Strong understanding of insurance distribution models and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent stakeholder management, leadership, and communication skills.
• Commercially driven with strong analytical and business planning capabilities.
