OVERVIEW:
The Senior Analyst of SEC Reporting will be reporting directly to the Director of SEC Reporting and will support the external reporting and the accounting for share-based compensation functions in accordance with SEC, U.S. GAAP and SOX rules and regulations. This role will assist with the preparation of all SEC filings including Forms 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, Proxy Statement and review of Form 4 filings. This role will also prepare journal entries and account reconciliations relating to the accounting for stock-based compensation.
Requirements
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participate in the coordination and preparation of quarterly reports (10-Q), annual reports (10-K), current reports (8-K), Proxy Statements, and other filings as needed.
- Coordinate the collection of financial and non-financial information needed for the various filings.
- Review disclosures for completeness, accuracy and compliance with SEC rules and regulations.
- Prepare stock-based compensation accounting entries and reconcile related balance sheet accounts. Support other month end close activities as needed.
- Prepare all equity and stock-based compensation schedules for reporting, including EPS.
- Review XBRL tags for accuracy and completeness
- Complete disclosure checklists and reporting questionnaires
- Maintain reporting calendar and monitor progress against key reporting deadlines
- Assess the impact of recently issued accounting standards
- Assist internal stakeholders and external auditors, as needed
- Assist with technical accounting research and documentation of accounting policies and procedures
- Stay up to date on FASB, SEC and PCAOB developments
- Partner with internal departments and external auditors to ensure accurate financial reporting
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- CPA and Public/Big 4 accounting experience preferred
- Previous experience in SEC reporting and share-based compensation
- Experience in medical devices preferred
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills
- Strong analytical, problem solving and organization skills
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Able to work independently and take initiative, to adapt to changing priorities, and to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and efficiency while meeting deadlines
- Detail-oriented, with a strong work ethic and a team player
- Requires minimal supervision
- Able to handle stressful situations with tight deadlines
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- None
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND TRAINING:
- BS and/or MS degree in Accounting
- CPA with 3+ years of experience in a similar role, Big 4 highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, SEC reporting and SOX compliance
- Training to be completed per the training plan for this position as maintained in the document control system
- The training requirements on TRN-10007 Insider Trading Policy, TRN-10008 Global Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption Policy and TRN-10009 Code of Business Conducts and Ethics must be diligently completed within 30 days from the hiring date and on an annual basis
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- CPA preferred
COMPUTER SKILLS:
- ERP experience required; ERP in manufacturing environment a plus
- Experience with Active Disclosure, Workiva or similar software
- Experience with EquityEdge, Solium (or a similar equity administration platform)
- MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
