Summary: The teacher supervisor position is responsible for the direct supervision and development of the special education teachers at the respective school. The positions provides observation, feedback, training, support and guidance and for the pedagogical aspects and compliance aspects of the classroom teacher.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•Be a member of the school’s leadership team and support the director with communication and teacher communication protocols for parents, school districts and outside agencies
•Ensure lesson plans and instruction align to standards and are designed to meet the individual needs andgoals of each student.
•Review and revise IEPs to assist teachers to develop IEPs in accordance with the quality measures andcompliance timelines.
•Ensure all special education timelines and progress monitoring are completed with fidelity.
•Ensure lesson plans and instruction align to standards, include evidenced based practices and materials,are designed to meet the individual needs and goals of each student.
•Regularly observe teachers and classrooms to provide feedback and to ensure instruction aligns with goals,SDIs, and modifications as outline in the IEP.
•Train teachers regarding instructional methods, best practices, assessment, progress monitoring
•Develop teachers to effectively engage and supervise SSAs assigned to their classroom
•Assist in the recruiting, interview and hiring of teachers and aides.
•Must exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality with regard to all company information.
•Completion of all required trainings as designed by the company and accreditation/licensing entities.
•Other duties assigned.


Supervisory Responsibilities
Will be responsible for the direct supervision, evaluation and assessment of the teachers and the pedagogical practices at the respective school.


Required Qualifications
Education, Licensure, & Experience
PA Special Education Teaching Certification, 3+ year in the field, Master’s preferred

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to sit, stand, stoop, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb stairs, twist, kneel, or crouch. Occasional keyboarding and other skills will utilize hand, wrist, and fine motor coordination. The employee must occasionally lift and/ or move up to 30 pounds. The employee must seldom lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.


Work Environment
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately quiet & indoors. The work environment includes working with behaviorally challenging school aged children that may from time to time require physical interventions. This position will require local travel. This position will be scheduled based on operational need & will be required to provide own transportation.
