Associate DVM – Swansea MA
A newly established small animal veterinary practice is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join its growing clinical team. This position offers the opportunity to help establish strong medical workflows and contribute to a positive practice culture from an early stage.The role is suited for a veterinarian who enjoys comprehensive companion animal medicine, values teamwork, and wants access to mentorship and professional development within a broader veterinary community.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide medical care for companion animal patients across a range of routine and complex needs.
- Conduct physical examinations and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Perform preventive and wellness care, dentistry, surgery, and urgent medical services as appropriate.
- Communicate clearly with clients regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and ongoing care.
- Maintain accurate and thorough medical records.
- Work closely with veterinary technicians, assistants, and other members of the clinical team.
- Utilize available diagnostic and medical resources to support patient care.
- Participate in continuing education and maintain current professional knowledge.
- Contribute to a positive, respectful, and collaborative workplace.
Qualifications
- DVM or equivalent veterinary degree.
- Current veterinary license or eligibility to obtain the required state license.
- Experience or strong interest in companion animal medicine.
- Strong interpersonal and client communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a veterinary team.
- Commitment to compassionate patient care and high clinical standards.
- Interest in ongoing learning and professional growth.
