Description
Who We Are:
You can’t always see dental pain in pets. That’s why Pearly Bites Veterinary Dentistry exists. Centrally located in Chelsea, we’re on a mission to make comprehensive veterinary dentistry more accessible, more transparent, and far less stressful for pets and their people. No hidden fees. No shortcuts. Just thorough dental care and a team that genuinely cares about doing things the right way.
As our clinic continues to grow, we’re adding a Senior Veterinary Assistant to help us keep raising the bar. This is a unique opportunity to grow your clinical skills, learn from a passionate dental team, and be part of a culture where curiosity, teamwork, and a good sense of humor are always welcome. Around here, we like to say we only do smiles and behind those smiles is a team that supports each other, invests in growth, and takes real pride in raising the standard of veterinary dental care.
Whether your background is in general practice, emergency or you’ve already worked in specialty medicine, this is a unique opportunity to take your skills to the next level in a state-of-the-art hospital designed for learning, teamwork, and excellence.
What You’ll Do:
The Senior Veterinary Assistant works in tandem with our doctors and Licensed Veterinary Technicians to support dental procedures and day-to-day patient care. You’ll bring experience supporting dentistry, help keep each case running smoothly, and serve as a resource for other assistants.

- Clean, sterilize, and organize dental instruments; assemble procedure packs and follow established infection-control protocols
- Provide safe, compassionate patient handling and restraint, and help keep patients comfortable before and after procedures
- Support patient handoffs and promptly communicate observations or concerns to the doctor or Licensed Veterinary Technician
- Assist with dental table turnover and keep treatment areas, kennels, and the hospital clean, organized, and sanitary
- Restock supplies and maintain inventory in treatment and dental areas
- Help with patient intake and recordkeeping, and relay veterinarian-provided home-care instructions to clients

- Sound judgment with the ability to work ethically, independently, and responsibly within the Veterinary Assistant role
