Position Summary

The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring compliance with USDA regulations, company food safety programs, and quality standards. This role conducts routine inspections of sanitation practices, facility conditions, product labeling, storage, and raw material integrity to maintain Red’s All Natural’s commitment to producing safe, high-quality products.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

· Perform daily sanitation inspections to verify compliance with Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs).

· Document findings and communicate corrective actions to sanitation and production teams.

· Conduct daily GMP audits to ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices.

· Monitor pest control, proper storage practices, and overall facility cleanliness.

· Inspect all coolers and freezers daily for temperature compliance, product condition, and proper storage practices.

· Verify segregation of allergens, organic, and raw vs. finished product.

· Check lot numbers, product labeling, and packaging for accuracy and regulatory compliance.

· Report any non-compliance issues and assist in implementing corrective actions.

· Ensure proper rotation (FIFO) and traceability of all inventories.

· Inspect incoming raw materials for quality, temperature, and documentation compliance.

· Perform trailer inspections for all incoming shipments of raw materials.

· Ensure that all incoming shipments of raw material have the necessary documentation, including certificates of analysis and safety compliance records.

· Work closely with cross-functional teams, including logistics, quality assurance, and production, to ensure a seamless flow of goods and compliance with food safety regulations.

· Inspect and document product on hold, verifying proper identification and segregation.

· Support internal audits and USDA verification activities as needed.

Qualifications

· High school diploma or equivalent

· 3-5 years of experience in food manufacturing or quality assurance (USDA experience a plus)

· Experience with internal audits and inspections a plus

· Knowledge of USDA regulations, SSOPs, GMPs, and HACCP principles

· Strong attention to detail and ability to identify non-conformances

· Proficient in Microsoft Office and capable of accurate data entry

Ability to work in cold environments, including coolers and freezers
