Commercial Service Electrician

Add Staff is partnering with a National, well-regarded group of companies within the Electrical industry. We are seeking applications from experienced Service and Maintenance Electricians with extensive lighting control programming experience to join our client’s team.

This is the perfect position for a highly motivated Service Electrician to join our clients Service Department based in Brisbane.

This is a diverse position and best suited to an ambitious tradesperson who is technically minded and enjoys developing customer relationships.

About the Role

As a Commercial Service Electrician, you’ll deliver high‑quality electrical services across a diverse range of commercial clients. Your work will include maintenance, repairs, upgrades, and installations, all while ensuring safety, compliance, and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Performing routine maintenance and repair tasks on electrical systems, including lighting, power, and control systems
• Troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical issues, and implementing effective solutions
• Upgrading and installing new electrical equipment and systems to meet client requirements
• Ensuring all work is compliant with relevant electrical safety standards and regulations
• Providing exceptional customer service and maintaining strong client relationships
• Documenting work activities and maintaining detailed records
• Contributing to the team's continuous improvement efforts
• Installing, Fault-Finding and Programming various Lighting Control Systems and Fittings, such as DALI, Dynalite, KNX, CBUS, Zen etc.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will be a qualified and experienced Commercial Service Electrician with strong technical expertise in lighting control systems, excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

To be successful, you'll ideally have:

• Formal qualifications in Electrical Engineering or a relevant trade qualification
• QLD Electrical Licence
• Open Cabling Registration
• Minimum 3–5 years experience as a Commercial Service Electrician
• Current driver’s licence and reliable transportation
• Experience installing, programming and troubleshooting lighting control systems
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, industry standards and safety procedures
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• Willingness to travel across Brisbane, the Gold Coast and surrounding areas
