About Us
The Salvation Army is an international Christian church and humanitarian operating in 133 countries worldwide and for over 90 years has been present in Tanzania. Our local corps/churches serve as community hubs for worship and community work, providing a trusted platform to reach vulnerable populations. Through these networks, the Salvation Army delivers programmes in WASH, anti-human trafficking, agriculture and livelihoods, and disability inclusion, combining practical support with spiritual care. This faith-based, community-embedded approach ensures that development initiatives are holistic, sustainable, and locally anchored.
