As a Working Student Automation & AI (m/f/d), you will support our Supply Chain team in analysing, mapping and improving business processes. You will turn repetitive manual activities into practical automated solutions and identify where artificial intelligence can create measurable value in our daily work.

 

This role reports to the Manager Supply Chain.

What you will do: 

• Analyse operational and administrative workflows across Supply Chain and connected functions to identify inefficiencies, recurring manual work and automation opportunities
• Document and map processes clearly, including process steps, responsibilities, systems, data flows, pain points and improvement potential
• Design and implement practical automation solutions using tools such as Microsoft Power Automate, Excel, Office Scripts, Power BI and other suitable applications
• Assess existing workflows for meaningful AI use cases and translate opportunities into concrete solution concepts and implementation plans
• Build, test and implement AI-supported solutions, for example for information extraction, classification, summarisation, decision support or process guidance
• Work closely with Supply Chain colleagues and relevant stakeholders to understand requirements, validate solutions and support user adoption
• Join our EMEA AI Ambassador program
• Document developed solutions, data logic and operating instructions to ensure transparent, reliable and maintainable processes
• Monitor implemented solutions, resolve issues and continuously improve their effectiveness, usability and data quality

 

What you will bring: 

• Current enrolment in business informatics, industrial engineering, supply chain management, data science, computer science, business administration or a comparable degree programme
• Good understanding of business processes and a strong interest in process improvement, automation and artificial intelligence
• Initial practical experience with Microsoft 365 tools; knowledge of Power Automate, Power BI, Excel, Office Scripts, SQL or similar tools is an advantage
• Ability to structure requirements, work with data and translate business needs into practical technical solutions
• Good written and spoken English and German
• Availability for approximately 15 to 20 hours per week alongside your studies
