Life doesn’t always follow a fixed schedule. That’s why we created the Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position: a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career with the industry leader.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Route Auditor in Hollis, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $20.20 - 21.20 / Hour

DayTimeFri02:30 PM - 10:30 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies at a public transportation location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned stations, platforms, facilities, parking areas, and perimeter areas, reporting unusual conditions or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, helping to deter unauthorized entry and supporting orderly movement throughout the location.
• Respond to incidents, service disruptions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and promptly communicate observations, incidents, and security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least six months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
