Position Overview:

As an Automation Testing Engineering Manager at Citi, you will lead a team shaping how AI and automation are applied to modern software quality practices. You will guide six engineers plus a supporting contractor population, setting the direction for automation testing across technology delivery. This role offers the chance to influence testing strategy, build team capability, and directly improve the speed and reliability of how Citi delivers technology.

## Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage an automation testing team of six engineers and a contractor population, overseeing hiring, performance evaluations, and day-to-day staff management.
• Guide the team in applying AI-driven and automation testing methods to increase test coverage, speed, and accuracy.
• Provide technical oversight across automation testing frameworks and application development systems, drawing on cross-functional expertise.
• Review and evaluate proposed technical testing solutions to confirm they meet quality, performance, and delivery requirements.
• Shape automation testing strategy in partnership with broader technology leadership, aligning testing practices with business priorities.
• Manage budget, resourcing, and delivery timelines to keep testing milestones on track.
• Define and maintain testing standards, negotiating with external vendors and partners where required.
• Identify and manage risk within testing processes, ensuring activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and Citi policy.

## Required Qualifications & Skills:

• 6 plus years of experience in the financial services industry, including experience as an application development manager or senior-level application development professional.
• Hands-on experience with AI and automation testing tools, with the ability to guide a team in applying them effectively.
• Experience managing teams and stakeholders, including hiring and performance evaluation.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and proven project management capability.
• Working knowledge of industry practices and standards.
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience; Master’s degree preferred
