We are looking for a skilled and dependable Residential Architectural Drafter with strong Chief Architect experience to support our design and construction team remotely.

About the Role

This is a hands-on, behind-the-scenes position that combines architectural drafting, design support, construction coordination, and administrative responsibilities.

Your primary responsibility will be working with Chief Architect to create, modify, and maintain residential drawings and layouts. You will also assist with material ordering, coordinate with field personnel, organize project information, and handle various operational tasks that help keep projects moving.

Beyond technical skills, we are looking for someone proactive, resourceful, detail-oriented, and genuinely enjoys helping a team succeed.

You should be comfortable working independently, following established processes, and taking ownership of assigned responsibilities without needing constant supervision.

Key Responsibilities

Architectural Drafting & Chief Architect

• Create, modify, and maintain residential CAD drawings using Chief Architect.
• Assist with preliminary floor plans, layouts, and design documentation.
• Make drawing revisions based on instructions and feedback from the design team.
• Support the designer with technical drafting and design-related tasks.
• Explore and utilize additional Chief Architect features to improve drawing quality and efficiency.
• Maintain organized and accurate project drawings and documentation.

Material Ordering & Purchasing Coordination

• Coordinate with field personnel to understand material requests and requirements.
• Review project information to identify the correct materials, quantities, and specifications provided by the team.
• Prepare and process material orders with suppliers.
• Follow established purchasing procedures and maintain accurate order records.
• Track orders and communicate updates to the appropriate team members.
• Ensure material requests are handled accurately and in a timely manner.

Construction & Administrative Support

• Organize project files, documents, and design information.
• Assist with communication and coordination between the design team and field personnel.
• Handle routine administrative and operational tasks as assigned.
• Follow established processes and ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time.
• Identify opportunities to make recurring tasks more organized and efficient.

Social Media & Content Support

• Assist with scheduling and organizing social media content.
• Upload and manage content provided by the team.
• Follow established posting schedules and guidelines.
• Help maintain consistency across the company's social media platforms.

Qualifications & Experience

• At least 3 years of experience in architectural drafting or residential CAD drafting.
• At least 2 years of hands-on Chief Architect experience.
• Ability to create and modify residential CAD drawings, floor plans, and layouts.
• Experience in residential construction, architecture, interior design, or construction administration is an advantage.
• Familiarity with residential remodeling projects and construction documentation is preferred.
• Experience with material ordering, purchasing coordination, or communicating with construction field teams is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good written and spoken English communication skills.
• Comfortable communicating with U.S.-based colleagues through email, messaging, and video calls.
• Proficient in using computers, cloud-based tools, and common office applications.
• Able to manage multiple responsibilities and work independently.
