Role: Audit Manager
Location: York
Salary: £55,000 to £65,000
This is a great opportunity to join a well established and highly regarded practice in York. The firm is seeking an experienced audit professional to lead on a varied portfolio of clients, support the wider audit team and play a key role in developing the department. Responsibilities of the Audit Manager Job include:
• Lead and manage audit engagements from planning through to completion
• Oversee a portfolio of clients across a range of sectors ensuring high quality service delivery
• Review audit files, working papers and final accounts prepared by the team
• Support, mentor and develop junior and part qualified auditors
• Attend client meetings, provide updates and offer commercially focused advice
• Work closely with partners to identify opportunities to enhance or expand services
• Ensure compliance with audit standards and internal quality procedures
Requirements of the Audit Manager Job include:
• UK practice experience is essential
• Qualified ACA or ACCA
• Strong technical knowledge of audit standards and financial reporting
• Confident leading audits and managing client relationships
• Ability to supervise teams and provide clear guidance and review points
• Proactive, organised and able to manage multiple assignments
