Great Road Veterinary Hospital

Acton, Massachusetts

We believe great medicine starts with great teams — and great teams require great leaders.

Who We’re Looking For

Are you a skilled Veterinary Technician who is ready to step into leadership — or already leading and looking for the right environment to make a real impact?

Do you naturally coach others, led by example on the floor, and take pride in building strong, efficient teams? Are you passionate about both excellent medicine and developing people?

If so, we’d love to meet you.

Great Road Veterinary Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Technician Supervisor to support our medical team, elevate patient care, and help shape a positive, accountable, and growth-driven culture.

About the Role

This is a hands-on leadership position that blends clinical excellence with team development.

As a Veterinary Technician Supervisor, you will:

· Lead by example on the floor, supporting patient care and workflow

· Mentor and develop technicians and assistants

· Partner closely with DVMs and hospital leadership

· Help drive consistency in medical standards, protocols, and communication

· Ensure a high level of efficiency, accountability, and team engagement

You will play a key role in bridging medicine, operations, and team culture.

What It Means to Lead Here

At Great Road, our technicians are highly utilized, highly respected, and essential to how we deliver care.

As a supervisor, you will:

· Support anesthesia, surgery, dentistry, and advanced diagnostics

· Coach team members in technical skills and client communication

· Help manage daily workflow and technician scheduling needs

· Reinforce medical protocols and best practices

· Address challenges in real-time with professionalism and clarity

· Contribute to hiring, training, and performance development

This is an opportunity to build something — not just maintain it.

What sets us apart:

· Newly renovated state-of-the-art facility

· Electronic Medical Records

· Strong, supportive leadership team

· Focus on mentorship and career development

· A culture that values accountability, collaboration, and growth

As we mentioned above, we believe great medicine starts with great teams — and great teams require great leaders.

What You Bring

·5 years or more of veterinary technician experience

· Prior leadership or supervisory experience is preferred but not required

· Strong technical skills across anesthesia, surgery, dentistry, and diagnostics

· Confidence in coaching, feedback, and team development

· Excellent communication and client education skills

· Ability to stay organized and lead in a fast-paced environment

· High emotional intelligence, professionalism, and accountability

Preferred:

· Influence how care is delivered

· Develop and support a strong team

· Help create a hospital culture people are proud to be part of

Ready to Take the Next Step?

If you’re looking for a place where your voice matters, your leadership is supported, and your growth is encouraged — we’d love to connect.
