Description

Life Unlimited. At Smith+Nephew we design and manufacture technology that takes the limits off living.

As part of the Integrity Orthopaedics team, Smith+Nephew’s latest acquisition, the Production Supervisor will lead, coach, and develop the hourly operations team to deliver against SQDC goals (Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost) across the manufacturing facility. This role partners cross-functionally with Materials, Engineering, Quality, and Safety to achieve operational targets while maintaining strict adherence to FDA and GMP requirements.

The Production Supervisor plays a critical role in scaling operations, owning workforce development through recruiting, structured onboarding, and continuous training to build a high-performing, quality-driven production team.

Integrity Orthopaedics transformed soft tissue repair with a patented, FDA-cleared system designed to improve surgical fixation and long-term healing in rotator cuff repair. Now part of Smith+Nephew, we are expanding production to support a broader commercial launch and drive operational excellence across the organization.

Work Schedule: This is a second-shift position, scheduled Monday through Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

  • Champion 5S and standard work implementation to improve organization, efficiency, and workplace discipline.
  • Collaborate with Quality to investigate internal and external defects, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Work cross-functionally with Planning and Warehouse teams to improve flow, ensure on-time delivery, and optimize inventory levels.
  • Support Manufacturing Engineering initiatives to improve productivity, reduce cost, and enhance process capability.
  • Lead rapid scaling of the production team to meet increasing demand. Own interviewing, hiring, and onboarding to build a high-performing, quality-driven workforce.
  • Lead and develop team members through training plans, performance management, coaching, and structured development plans.
  • Manage workforce planning including scheduling, overtime planning, attendance tracking, and performance evaluations.
  • Address personnel matters proactively and professionally, including coaching, corrective action, and recommendations related to hiring, advancement, or termination.
