Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed inspections of composite aircraft components to identify damage, wear, and required repairs. 

• Conduct repairs on composite structures and materials, including sanding, cutting, bonding, and curing, using approved techniques and materials. 

• Follow engineering blueprints, technical manuals, maintenance instructions, and standard operating procedures to complete repairs accurately. 

• Operate and maintain tools, equipment, and machinery required for composite repair, such as vacuum pumps, autoclaves, and curing ovens. 

• Document repair processes, materials used, and work completed in accordance with regulatory guidelines and company policies. 

• Ensure compliance with EHS and Quality system

Requirements

• NITEC/Higher NITEC/Diploma/Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Mechatronics / Electronics/ other Aerospace related courses)

• Experience with aerospace MRO for composites will be preferred.

• Ability to read, write and understand English

• To read and work from technical and service manuals, technical orders, sales orders, specification, drawings, and other written instructions

• Computer literacy (Knowledge in SAP will be preferred)

• Good communication skills needed, both oral and written

Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). If you live within a reasonable commute of an RTX site with other colleagues you interact with, your manager will discuss whether there is a degree of onsite presence associated with this role.
