Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations
With over 4000 software engineers, the IT Software Engineering Tools Team (SwEET) provides services that enable them to work in a faster, more agile way that increases productivity and innovation. Our goal is not only provide professional support but develop new solutions, plugged into our tools ecosystem and creating an internal application market for MSI.

Job Description

As a member of this team, the candidate will:

• Administer Github and Artifactory tools globally for all MSI engineers across the world

• Be responsible for architecting and creating mechanism enforcing secure and modern development environments using those tools

• Supporting those tools 

• Developing automation processes 

• Usage of AI to modernize usage of those tools

• Assists with the evaluation of new tools, onboard and support them

• Be able to learn DevOps and different cloud services  (AWS, Azure and GCP)

Basic Requirements

Specific Knowledge/Skills

• Practical knowledge of administration GitHub, Artifactory or similar tools and architecture mindset

• Advanced Github, Artifactory user experience

• Practical knowledge about various CI/CD systems

• DevOps knowledge (OS, Cloud Infrastructure, Networking)

• Basic programming skills in Python, Groovy, shell scripting, writing GitHub pipelines

• Understanding development practises: git, dockers 

• Understanding various package managers and registries like npm, pypi, etc 

• Understanding RESTful programming, Json. 

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
