About the Role

This is a field-based Construction Management position supporting renovation, capital improvement, and infrastructure projects across a portfolio of apartment communities.

You'll assist with projects including:

• Apartment unit renovations and unit turns
• Roofing replacements (EPDM and other roofing systems)
• Building envelope improvements
• Concrete, paving, and asphalt projects
• Common area renovations
• Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) improvements

You'll partner closely with Senior Construction Managers, contractors, vendors, and on-site maintenance teams while learning every aspect of multifamily construction project management.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, coordinating, and executing multifamily renovation and capital improvement projects
• Support project scheduling, budgeting, and cost tracking
• Coordinate contractors, vendors, and community maintenance teams
• Perform regular site visits to monitor project progress, quality, and safety
• Review change orders, invoices, contracts, and project documentation
• Maintain project records, photos, reports, and documentation using Procore or similar software
• Help develop scopes of work, bid packages, and punch lists
• Ensure projects comply with company standards, safety regulations, and local building codes
• Provide project updates and reporting to senior leadership

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who has a solid construction foundation and is ready for their first true Construction Management opportunity.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Business, or a related field preferred
• Trade school or technical education is a strong plus
• 0-2 years of construction experience, including internships, co-ops, or early career roles
• Basic understanding of construction methods, materials, and terminology
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Interest in learning Procore or other construction management software
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Willingness to travel throughout Ohio with occasional overnight travel
