A growing multifamily owner-operator is expanding its Capital Projects team and is hiring two Entry-Level Construction Managers—one focused on interior apartment renovations and one specializing in building envelope projects, including roofing, paving, asphalt, and exterior improvements.
This is an outstanding opportunity for someone with 1-2 years of construction experience, an internship, co-op, trade school background, or early field experience who wants hands-on project management training and a long-term career path. About the Role
This is a field-based Construction Management position supporting renovation, capital improvement, and infrastructure projects across a portfolio of apartment communities.
You'll assist with projects including:
- Apartment unit renovations and unit turns
- Roofing replacements (EPDM and other roofing systems)
- Building envelope improvements
- Concrete, paving, and asphalt projects
- Common area renovations
- Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) improvements
You'll partner closely with Senior Construction Managers, contractors, vendors, and on-site maintenance teams while learning every aspect of multifamily construction project management.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with planning, coordinating, and executing multifamily renovation and capital improvement projects
- Support project scheduling, budgeting, and cost tracking
- Coordinate contractors, vendors, and community maintenance teams
- Perform regular site visits to monitor project progress, quality, and safety
- Review change orders, invoices, contracts, and project documentation
- Maintain project records, photos, reports, and documentation using Procore or similar software
- Help develop scopes of work, bid packages, and punch lists
- Ensure projects comply with company standards, safety regulations, and local building codes
- Provide project updates and reporting to senior leadership
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who has a solid construction foundation and is ready for their first true Construction Management opportunity.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Business, or a related field preferred
- Trade school or technical education is a strong plus
- 0-2 years of construction experience, including internships, co-ops, or early career roles
- Basic understanding of construction methods, materials, and terminology
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Interest in learning Procore or other construction management software
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Willingness to travel throughout Ohio with occasional overnight travel
