About the Role
Looking to build your career in fixed income markets? We're looking for a Dealer Assistant to support our fixed income trading desk within PCT Custody, Markets and Operations. Based in Melbourne, this role provides operational, administrative and market support across trade execution, transaction processing, reporting and client service.
You'll work closely with dealers and a range of internal and external stakeholders to help ensure accurate trade processing, smooth settlement activities and timely market reporting. The role offers exposure to fixed income products, financial markets and institutional clients while supporting the day-to-day operation of the dealing function
Key Responsibilities
Support dealers with trade execution activities and order management.
Prepare and process trade documentation, confirmations and transaction records.
Monitor market activity, pricing movements, yield curves and economic developments.
Liaise with custodians, brokers, counterparties and settlement teams to support transaction processing.
Reconcile trades, cash movements and holdings while maintaining accurate records across systems.
Prepare market commentary, dealer briefing notes and client reporting.
Support risk management, compliance obligations and issue resolution activities.
About you
We’re interested in hearing from people who have:
At least 3 years' experience in a similar role within financial services.
Strong understanding of fixed income products and financial markets.
Degree qualified in Finance, Commerce, Economics, Accounting or a related discipline.
Strong analytical and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail.
Experience working across treasury, wealth management, stockbroking or financial markets environments is highly regarded.
Knowledge of term deposits, bonds, cash products and fixed income markets.
Familiarity with Bloomberg or similar market platforms is desirable.
Strong communication, stakeholder management and client service skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
