Snow Removal Vehicle Operator
Under supervision, operates snow removal equipment used for clearing highways and to spread salt. Performs driver maintenance on vehicle to which assigned. Performs related duties as required. (This position is seasonal, to be used only during the snow removal season).High School Diploma or GED required. Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) – Type B with Air Brake Endorsement required. Truck driving experience is preferred. Must have a good driving record.
Airport Requirements:- Must successfully complete a Transportation Security Administration (TSA)10yearfingerprint-based Criminal History Records Check and employment background check and Security Threat Assessment.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug test.
Departmental Requirements:- Must have experience with construction type vehicles;
- Demonstrated good attendance record;
- Proficient communication skills;
- Must be able to read and follow directions effectively;
- Must be able to lift, carry, push and pull seventy-five (75) pounds;
- Must be able to work with various chemicals;
- Must be able to crouch, kneel, reach, stoop, bend, etc.;
- Must be able to work any shift and/or days assigned;
- Must be able to sit in a vehicle for long periods of time;
- Must be able to work in inclement weather, Ninety-five (95%) of the work performed will be outside and five (5%) will be within the facilities;
- Must successfully complete all applicable regulatory airfield Ground Vehicle Operator and Winter Operations training/assessments and maintain corresponding airfield driving privileges;
- Must be able to work in an environment where he/she will be exposed to exhaust fumes, grass and dust pollutants.
