Order Automation Intern
Huntsman is seeking an Order Automation Intern supporting the Performance Products Division located in Costa Rica. This position will report to the Customer Service Team Lead.
Job Scope
The Intern – Order Automation & Data Quality will support the AMER rollout of Esker, focusing on improving automation accuracy and accelerating system stabilization.
This role is critical during the initial implementation phase, where Esker’s machine learning model requires structured input, validation, and continuous correction to achieve targeted no-touch order processing rates.
The intern will execute transactional and analytical tasks that directly contribute to system learning, while reducing operational strain on Customer Service teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Review, validate, and correct orders processed through Esker
- Ensure high levels of data accuracy and completeness
- Provide structured feedback to support machine learning model training
- Execute data cleansing and validation activities
- Support monitoring of automation performance metrics (e.g., no-touch rate, error trends)
- Collaborate with Customer Service and project stakeholders to ensure process continuity
- Follow defined SOPs and contribute to process standardization

- Accelerates Esker learning curve and stabilization timeline
- Reduces rework and operational burden on Customer Service teams
- Protects service levels during volume growth and system transition
- Supports faster realization of automation ROI
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
The candidate must have an unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in Costa Rica
All candidates are expected to work at our office in AFZ, Heredia on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Please note that there may be occasions where additional office days are required, due specific business needs.
Minimum Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or related field
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
- Analytical mindset with ability to identify patterns and errors
- Basic to intermediate Excel skills
- Ability to follow structured processes and work independently
