Overview

Responsible for performing preventative maintenance at the customer's place of business on customer's power generation equipment, including diesel engine maintenance, oil changes, and voltage output measurements.

 

This position is a Union position. Employees are required to join IUOE Local 15C after 90 days of employment. All benefits provided by IUOE Local 15C.

 

Pay Rates:

Tech I - $39.71 per hour

 

Employees with a CDL earn an additional $0.50 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Identify and order parts necessary to complete routine maintenance.• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment according to established guidelines and schedules.• Complete all work orders and time sheets in a legible, accurate and timely manner.• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.• Perform all work in accordance with established quality standards and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, Technical degree a plus
• One to two years related experience with diesel engines, standby generators, and controls
• Clean driving record and valid Driver’s License required.
• Experience with mtu, Volvo Penta highly desired, but not required

SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Basic computer navigation and utilization skills
• Ability to utilize laptop and portable diagnostic tools required.
• Experience with Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Able to work independently in a safe and efficient manner
• Ability to utilize the available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
• Motivated and reliable with strong work ethic, cooperative team member
