About the location:

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP

Ö Reports to Director of Engineering

Ö Supervises Operation, third parties (contractor and vendor).

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Ö Assists the ADOE in implementation of systems and procedures on maintenance and repair of all machinery, equipment, apparatus and fixtures in the Resort. Assists also on implementation of the preventive maintenance schedule of all machinery and equipment.

Ö Capital Projects;

Assist the ADOE in budgeting for all capital improvements (e.g. renovations, equipment replacement, and/or addition).

Manages the project implementation process to ensure highest standard of quality and project completion in a timely fashion within budget.

Ö Energy Conservation and the Environment;

Monitors and implements systems to analyze and proactively manage energy consumption to minimize waste. Creates and maintains an "energy conscious" workforce through an Energy Conservation Committee.

Effectively implements methods and strategies for compliance with Four Seasons Corporate Social Responsibility policy and local code.

Ö Preventive Maintenance

Executes a preventive maintenance program for all hotel plant equipment in a cost effective manner, with minimum disruption to hotel operations, and maintains comprehensive electronic or manual records as necessary.

Physically inspects all areas of the building envelope to ensure structural integrity and initiates further investigation or remedial action. Plant/Mechanical rooms kept in clean, well maintained condition.

Ö Perfect Room, Corridor and Outlets Program;

A full Perfect Room, Corridor and Outlets Program managed to ensure all areas are continually maintained with a minimum of one complete turn of property annually.

Ö Life Safety Systems/Administrative Systems;

- Assists ADOE in planning, establishes and implements a preventive maintenance system for all Life Safety Systems.

Ensures all systems are tested on a regular basis (or as required by local legislation), and certified by qualified personnel annually. Ensures appropriate employee groups are trained on the operation of systems applicable to specific groups.

- Works in conjunction with Manager of Security and Crisis Teams to complete regular drills/evacuations.

Actively participates in hotels Chemical Safety / MSDS / HACCP programs. Ensures the building/ property conforms to all government codes and regulations, and keeps all applicable licenses and certificates of operation current and up-to-date.

Ö Prepares the working schedules of all Engineering personnel, including their shift allocation, days off and vacations.

Ö Submits daily activities report on operations, repairs, maintenance and special projects.

Ö Implements controls in the Engineering Storeroom. Checks and audits all deliveries.

Ö Monitor utility log book data on operating efficiency of power and plant. Takes necessary corrective measures if the efficiency below standard. Update the ADOE accordingly.

Ö Reviews annual POMEC Budgets and Forecasts and submits recommendations to the ADOE for Management approval.

Ö Prepares cost estimates for job orders to be performed by the Engineering Department, or external contractors.

Ö In coordination with the Accounting Department, controls and takes charge of engineering equipment inventory.

Ö Initiates commendation or misconduct notices.

Ö Appraises performances of subordinates every six months and recommends appropriate action based on the results of rating.

Ö Identifies training needs of personnel in the department. Assists the Resort Manager/ADOE in the training of the personnel, according to established procedures and standards.

Ö To develop skills and knowledge at all times by training, counseling, correction and respecting the individual.

Ö Performs other duties that may be required.

Ö To be on top implement the organizational and operational models (such as work order, preventive and corrective system) and analysis of the system and plan tackling the most urgent issues and to be fully understand the long-term implication of the product maintenance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Select, train, evaluate, lead, motivate, coach, and discipline employees, Operation Engineers and Asst. Chief Engineer in multiple engineering operations to ensure that established cultural and core standards are met.

2. Control labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing decisions, and inventory control while focusing on creative revenue generation solutions to maximize profit.

3. The ability to be visible in the operation, recognize and maintain relationships with all departments as well as cultivate relationships with vendor and government.

4. The ability to work closely with the Director of Engineering, ensuring excellent product maintenance.

5. Communicate with employees and managers to ensure operational needs are met as well as attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments.

6. Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and superiors.
