About the Team & Role

The Global CRM team powers personalized, data-led engagement across email, push notifications, and in-product messaging—contributing approximately 10% of total eBay revenue. As the Global Markets Lead – Global Buyer CRM, you will own the strategic vision for how we understand, prioritize, and activate buyers across our most critical international markets and business lines, including Buyer, C2C, Shipping, Incentives, and Financial Services.

Operating at the center of CRM’s AI transformation, you will establish the operational rhythm for how Global Markets CRM operates, learns, and scales! This is a player-coach role—senior enough to operate at an executive level across the business, influential enough to align cross-functional partners around a shared customer agenda, and close enough to the execution to set the quality bar for strategy and content systems.

• Global Strategy & Prioritization: Establish evidence-based CRM strategies, learning agendas, and market prioritization frameworks to solve high-value customer problems.

• AI Engine & Content Strategy: Shape scalable, modular content systems, metadata, and decisioning inputs to power eBay’s next-generation AI CRM engine.

• Cross-Market Scaling: Build cross-regional alignment to rapidly scale, adapt, and refine winning engagement strategies and performance insights globally.

• Executive & XFN Partnership: Partner closely with Executive Leadership, Regional Market Leads, Product, Commercial, AI Transformation, Analytics, and Creative teams to define unified, hyper-personalized customer experiences.

What You Will Accomplish

Strategic Leadership & Market Governance

• Own Cross-Market Strategy: Define and lead evidence-based CRM strategies, target customer segments, and regional learning agendas across key global markets.

• Drive Insight-Led Prioritization: Replace reactive campaign planning with data-backed frameworks, grounding decisions in customer behavior, commercial context, and clear hypotheses.

• Deliver Growth Outcomes: Own performance metrics across key markets, continuously identifying what strategies to scale, adapt, or discontinue.

AI Transformation & Scalable Content

• Shape AI CRM Strategy: Partner with AI Transformation, Product, and Analytics teams to define the decisioning inputs, metadata, and modular content required to power eBay’s AI Engine.

• Champion AI Adoption: Lead by example in leveraging AI-powered tools to iterate and optimize high-quality CRM content at speed and scale.

Cross-Functional Leadership & Performance

• Drive Executive Alignment: Serve as the senior CRM partner and primary point of contact for VP/GMs across Commercial, Product, Marketing, AI, and Analytics.

• Lead Cross-Market Reviews: Maintain performance visibility across regions, balancing short-term commercial goals with channel health and long-term customer lifetime value.

• Build & Coach Teams: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-accountability team of Market Leads and Customer Strategists, shifting mindsets from "brief-to-campaign" to "problem-to-solution."

What You Will Bring

• Senior CRM Leadership: Proven track record leading multi-market CRM operations within e-commerce, digital marketplaces, retail, or tech.

• Deep Domain Expertise: Mastery of lifecycle marketing, trigger-based engagement, personalized messaging, and channel performance metrics.

• Commercial & Analytical Acumen: Skilled in combining qualitative research, behavioral data, and financial targets to size opportunities and make investment trade-offs.

• AI & Tech Literacy: Experience with or strong curiosity toward AI-powered workflow tools, automated decisioning engines, and modern content systems.

• Executive Presence & Influence: Demonstrated ability to influence senior partners, navigate ambiguity, and align matrixed teams without direct authority.

• People & Culture Builder: A passion for coaching talent, setting high standards, and fostering a fast-learning, customer-obsessed team culture.

• Leadership: Director of Global Buyer CRM, VP/GMs, and Regional Market Leads (US, UK, Germany).

• Cross-Functional Teams: AI Transformation, Product & Tech, Commercial BUs (C2C, Focus Categories, Shipping), Analytics/Data Science, and Creative/Brand.

Additional Details

The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:

C$142,000 - C$189,600

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including RRSP eligibility, various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
