Collects, organizes, analyzes and presents clinical performance data to provide statistically valid information that can be utilized to improve clinical outcomes and overall performance.  Provides support to professional medical staff, nursing staff, and related committees.  Reviews, assesses and reports compliance with expected clinical standards of care and regulatory activities and its documentation in the medical record. Monitors to assess compliance with clinical standards, regulatory, licensing and accreditation standards, as well as completeness and clarity of documentation by all clinicians in the patient record. Maintains current knowledge of regulatory and accreditation standards and provides guidance and education to clinical staff.  Performs data gathering and analysis of clinical outcomes and trends to assist with the professional medical staff privileging and reappointment processes. Using clinical knowledge and judgement, performs case reviews, data gathering, data analysis and trend analysis, and prepares reports in support of clinical peer review activities. Leads and serves as a resource to clinical staff for continuous quality improvement. Develops and facilitates clinically focused performance and quality improvement activities.  Coordinates and assists with all regulatory, licensing, and accrediting body surveys; State Licensing Review, (CMS) Validation Surveys, etc., and assists with the development and implementation of plans of correction.

Demonstrates the ability to deal with pressure to meet deadlines, to be accurate, and to handle constantly changing situations. Demonstrates the ability to deal with a variety of people, deal with stressful situations, and handle conflict.

Will perform all job duties or job tasks as assigned. Will follow and adhere to all requirements, regulations and procedures of any licensing board or agency. Must comply with all Benefis Health System’s organization policies and procedures.

Education/License/Experience Requirements:

  • Registered nursing degree required. 
  • Five years of nursing clinical experience in acute or critical care setting preferred. 
  • Prior experience in quality improvement activities and methodologies preferred.

Starting Wage

$63,814.40/annual

Actual offered wage is based on applicable experience
